Paul Du Noyer is an author and editor. For more than 30 years he was also a music journalist, whose interviewees ranged from Madonna to Pavarotti, David Bowie to Mick Jagger and nearly everyone with a strong connection to The Beatles, not least Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Born in Liverpool, Paul was educated at the London School of Economics. He has written the definitive musical histories of both Liverpool and London.

- He was on the launch teams of these magazines: Q, MOJO, heat and The Word.
- He has edited Q and was the Founding Editor of MOJO.
- Paul has written the classic history of his home town’s music scene “Liverpool: Wondrous Place”.
- He has written a sweeping history of the capital city’s music scene “In The City: A Celebration of London Music”.
- He wrote a highly successful study of John Lennon’s solo music, “We All Shine On”, now reissued as "Working Class Hero".
- Paul oversaw the launch of several music websites including Q4music, Mojo4Music and Kerrang!.
- As a freelance writer his many outlets have included The Sunday Times, GQ and The New Statesman. Paul has made frequent TV appearances and radio broadcasts for the BBC and elsewhere. His sleevenotes include albums by Elvis Costello, Oasis, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ian McNabb, Mott The Hoople, Doll By Doll and The Pretty Things.

- A continuing part of his work is Editorial Consultancy. Since 1989 he has worked on numerous projects with Paul McCartney, including Paul’s tour programmes and CD reissues. In 2010 he assisted Yoko Ono with John Lennon's anniversary CD editions. He is also an advisor to the Liverpool-based company Best English Language Training.
- He was an Associate Editor of The Word for its entire existence, and a Visiting Fellow in Journalism at Liverpool Hope University. He is also on the board of Liverpool music venue The Picket.
